A feed built for listening
How Heard works
Heard is an audio-first social app for discovering short, interesting audio. Choose the topics you love, start listening, and let the feed bring you another voice or idea.
A feed you can listen to.
Some days you know exactly which show or episode you want. Other days, you just want something interesting to hear. Heard is built for that second moment: discovering voices, stories, and ideas through short audio posts.
The starting point is a feed, with listening at the center. You can explore on your phone, then keep the audio going when you put the screen away.
1. Start with your interests.
Pick the topics you love to give your listening a starting point. Heard keeps the mix varied, leaving room for your next listen to surprise you.
Think about what makes you curious: an unexpected piece of history, a question about the natural world, or a different way of looking at an everyday experience. You can start with an interest without needing to arrive with a particular episode in mind.
2. Discover through short audio.
Heard brings short audio posts together in a listening feed. The format gives each voice or idea its own moment, while keeping the next discovery close by.
You do not have to choose between enjoying a short listen and loving a longer show. Our guide to short-form audio and podcasts explains how the two can fit different listening moods.

3. Put your phone away.
Listening can continue with your screen off. That makes room for audio while you take a walk, do things around the house, or settle into a moment away from your screen.
Supported Bluetooth headphones and car controls let you play, pause, and skip. Available controls depend on the connected equipment. See our hands-free listening guide for a practical explanation of screen-off playback and controls.
What to know before getting started
Heard is coming soon. The initial public release is planned for adults 18 and older in the United States, with an English-language iPhone app.
